What is Kapwa?

In 1975, Virgilio Enriquez introduced the concept of kapwa (shared identity or togetherness). A fundamental idea in Filipino Psychology and a cornerstone of the Filipino Values. Kapwa PH seeks to foster free peer support conversation among Filipinos through the principle of pakikipagkapwa or treating other person as kapwa. To bring this concept to life, we match individuals with the same struggles in live-moderated and small kapwa group conversations. These conversations provides a safe space for our users to vent and help others feel heard. Through these shared experiences, Kapwa PH nurtures a sense of community, empowering individuals to find strength and solutions together.
